Keri was 21 when she lost her life three days before her 22nd birthday. Everyone was drawn to her. She had a spark and smile that attracted many. She was an all star athlete and endeared herself not only to her teammates, but also to her opponents. Keri demonstrated her love to her family every day and was especially close to her nieces and nephews.

In the words of her father, Steve (Ginx snewx), "Keri was a star in life to us all. We miss her very much but are comforted by the knowledge she is shining in heaven as much as she shined here."

Last year, through the generous donations of our members, nearly $2,000 was raised allowing twelve people to attend the conference who would not have been able to attend otherwise.

Scholarship money will be used to pay for the conference fee. In the event that there are more applicants than funds, a staff committee will award scholarships based on a weighted point scale with preference given to those who are meteorology students.

Any donation amount is welcomed and sincerely appreciated. Donations are open January 30, 2007 and run through May 15, 2007.  If you would like to make a general donation to the conference, click here.

If you have any questions regarding donations or scholarships please PM VTmtngirl or Stormtracker. Please be sure to include your screen name (board name) when making a donation.

You can donate through PayPal...

or by mail...

Through the generosity of our members, funding is available for those who need assistance in attending the conference.

Funding will be award by a weighted point system in the event funding is not available for the number of applicants. Heavier weights are placed on those who are meteorology students but other criteria are also included beyond student status.

Scholarships will be awarded June 8th by way of a EUSWX staff committee. Awards will not be made prior to this date. You will be notified via PM the week of June 8th.

Scholarship is granted only for the conference and workshop fees. No money will be provided for transportation or other costs of attending the conference.

Those who receive scholarships and do not attend presentations will not be considered for future scholarships.
