Wednesday and Thursday were like that here. When it wasn't raining there was mist or drizzle, but I'm not positive it was continuous. I've recorded precip the last four days. Only four days have zero precip this month so far at my station.

There has to be some sort've record kept for that kinna thing. I wonder if this is even close to whatever it may be. I'd try to ask LWX climate focal.

last yr, as the intense cold wave broke in january, we had about 60 hours straight of light, occasionally moderate snow reported.

it was pretty cool and unusual, given that it was true arctic like precip driven by being directly under the decaying PV.

though we basically didnt see anymore snow the rest of the season, after that.

But it is too slow and steady for any real flooding action. I don't think (haven't checked yet) any of the rivers are near flood stage....even though I did see the Potomac overflowing some of the walkway around Haines Point (DC).
