Gustav had a pressure of 941 MB and winds of 150 MPH at the surface, so if the pressure remains steady, we should see a rapid upward trend in wind later on.
The pressure-wind relationship tends to be different in every storm. Meaning you can't necessarily relate Gustav at 941/150 to Ike.
