So far, I've uploaded a substantial number of photos from the ongoing historic LES event. Many thanks to all here who permitted me to use your photos or have allowed me to do so when they are posted. Without your photos, my efforts to document this extraordinary event would have been inadequate.

Don:
I used to live right around the corner of the Paul's Big "M" (page 12 Oswego) for a while, late '80's. We had some large snowfalls, but I cannot recall 80 inches in 4 days when I was there (88-92).
We had our "bonus snows" when we had a very small gradient between the lake and the land (usually late Feb) and had localized 1 foot + snows. Once outside of Oswego, going south on 481, there was nothing 3 miles from the lake. Truely amazing. We did have one event in Feb of 91 (maybe 92) that dropped 30 inches along the lakeshore in 4 hours. The only time school was cancelled in my 4+ years at OZ.

Oswego is an unbelieveable place. Going east on 104 thru Mexico up to Booneville is adventerous. We did it in the early winter as the snows, during those years, were usually aimed at the tug hill to start, then migrated all around.
When I was there, Adams Center had beared the brunt of the major events. But later, after I graduated and moved on to Clay, NT (481, just south of Phoenix, Oswego Cty) many of the good snow years in the Syracuse Years were achieved. I believe 1993 and 1994 set records (at the time) in 'Cuse. We had good LAK snow, but were also aided by some nice Nor'Easters (Inland Runners) also.
Great Photos! Keep 'Em Coming.

You must've lived close to where I'm at - I can throw a rock across the river into Oswego County at the end of my road - and I'm in Clay - though Phoenix school district.
Great job Don! And looking forward to Matt's thread.

Don -
I think I confused you - on Page 13 that's Scriba - not Clay! I wish I had that much here! There was another photo in my set that was my house - but not the one you posted. Might want to change the caption on the actual page also! Sorry for the confusion!
