Nice scene today but just could not keep it moderate long enough to get in on the better accumulations. 2/3 of an inch here.

I think we will get a good high along western shore of Hudson/James Bay by Saturday. That is the kind of set up that could help us in this overall pattern.

Yes here and for you. The good high setting up over w/sw shores of Hudson Bay will help steer the clipper along or just norht of VA/NC border with plenty of cold 850's.

I mentioned eysterday that I do not think the torch that is projected starting middle next week will verify. There is simply too much Very cold air all over Canada and points north which will be accompanied by enough high pressure to prevent the oft misquoted Pacific firehype takeover of the USA.

The high pressures were able to withstand most of the Pacific batterings and Friday's fresh, cold air supplied by the high was enought for over an inch in many areas around here and Cold temperatures. Not too long ago Mon-Friday upcoming looked very mild, now more like a day or two of it. Some winters there is no cold air in Central Canada. It's there this year but having a hard time getting here so far but starting to win out some recently.
