He comes on in his first appearance of the news half hour, showing the accuweather graphic of the Low riding the coast and saying that we have the real potential of accumulations for Baltimore City of a foot.

Then he goes on to see, the only other real solution is a further south track which would give us a mix and very minor accumulations. He said those were the only two possible tracks he saw.

Oh boy, that's scary. Many of the weenies on this board could provide a better analysis than him.

Any of you VA/DC/MD guys looking for a job as a talking head (just need to be a talking head, knowledge in your head not required for this position as demonstrated by the comments he made!)?

lol, he must have looked further into the accuwx site during the time between his second segment on the show and that first one. This time he pulled up the graphic that shows us in the mix and goes "well it could be over a foot, or it could be a mix, or it could be a cold rain". LOL, hype during your first segment to keep the viewers, then hedge in the second segment. It's why TV weatherguys aren't meteorologists (even if they do have a degree in it), they are glorified carnival barkers, trying to keep you watching as long as they can to keep the channel's ratings up.

A meteorologist is someone who obtained a degree in meteorology. The way you come across and/or gather data doesn't make you less intelligent of the subject. Besides, as was sort of mentioned... being more dramatic (for better or worse, depending on your point of view) makes things more interesting for the viewer, according to those in the media, anyway.

Just about every meteorologist in the Orlando market are members of the American Meteorologican Society and/of the National Weather Association. The Boston market isn't that bad in this regard.
