Unless the dog is from Richmond, in which case it gets put to sleep.

Sitting at 124" here in L'pool, NY...about 20 miles south of where I used to live.....My sister...(who does pretty darn well measuring) tells me that Parish has about 210" for the year so far.

LEK,

I wish I could send this snow I'm having today in Minneapolis your way. I'm from Oswego County, I've had my fill of snow! :gun_bandana:

I'll take all the warmer than normal weather you can give in return

I have probably asked this before but was the lake effect event we attended the all time record setter as to duration, coverage and accumulation. I know there is some subjective criteria in there but would like your feedback.

LES events much before 1940 were really not a "newsmaker" because of the ruralness and fairly isolated nature of the people back before then. I have talked to many "elders" around that area, and the only "bigger" event they could remember was in 1958...and that was very localized in C. Oswego Co...accounts were that 8' of snow was "on the ground"...which would imply a fall of snow probably of 12' or more in a week.....but otherwise, last Feb's event was tops on almost everyone's list, from a folklore standpoint, and from a records standpoint, (with LES records sketchy at best) it was a top 2 or 3 event in the last 60 or so years for all the aspects you mentioned.

Everyone would be totally embarrassed, to the point of tears. I would be running in the snow, wallowing around, whooping it up and shoveling the entire town. Then I'd take a 20 mile jebwalk.
