I just got a call from his wife. I am sorry to say that he passed away on Tuesday due to an infection from treatment he was receiving. I am very shocked and sad to hear this.
Rest in peace Bob.

Oh man.

For those of you that didn't know, Bob was fighting a battle with cancer since last summer.

wow...I knew he was having some medical issues, but didnt know it was this severe. Way too young to leave us. I am glad I was able to meet him a few times. He was affable, with a nice slow drawl and a great laugh. He served his community for 20 years as a police officer and I know he was proud of that. I am glad he got to see the Cardinals win the WS as I know he was a big fan. He had just bought a house in Eureka in the last year or 2 and was ready to start the next chapter of his life. Huge loss for St Louis and for this weather community. RIP Bob/A Ziffel/Dfuzz

My condolences to his wife Judy and family. :( :( :(

We were the last two together the afternoon, after the first conference (Sun. 7/31/05).
I want to say that was the case for last year's, but I'm not quite sure.

R.I.P. BOB!

Wow-- I didn't know him, but he seemed cool. It's always so shocking to get news like this. I wish his family well. :(
