These photos have floated around the web for years now!!!!! Not sure if they are authentic or not....in terms of them being doctored....but they are certainly not from any recent events up this way!!!

That first photo looks like I saw 3 years ago. Like, I've seen that before the lake effect events.

That's right!!! I knew I'd found out where they originated.

I remember back in '04 that someone tried telling me that these pictures were from my home town!!! Of course I knew they weren't...

Probably from right after their monster storm of 4/1-2/01. It brought the annual snowfall for St. Johns (almost the mildest part of Newf, though stormy) to over 240".

HA now that is actually funny. "_)

I figured they were suspect...since there was not a source.

Reminds me of the WALL CLOUD and tornado photos from Mike U - those get sent to me about three times a year. Usually saying they are some hurricane or something!

Do Google
Hurricane Katrina Cloud

This comes up ;)

So now we have the huge snow pile photos - I would imagine I will get this two or three more times in the coming weeks. :) I can only dream of snow like that!

Beau,

Those look like some photos from Canada's Maritime Provinces at the end of the winter when the snow cover builds to excessive levels.

Yes, I know, no Blizzard of 2006 pics. I didn't take any for some reason.
